Bookworm's Top Ten

The Best And Most Uniquely Distinquished Authors Ever (Plus their books):  Bookworm’s Top Ten List

1: J.K. Rowling

        Harry Potter Series
The Tales of Beedle the Bard
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
        Quidditch Throught the Ages
Why?   Bookworm loves it all.  Especially Hermione.  She is Bookworm’s role model.  Despite the fact that if they ever met, Bookworm is quite sure that they would be enemies.  The whole “Clash of the Know-It-Alls.”  Bookworm also loves the magic of it.  The spells, Hogwarts, the classes.  The whole thing is quite fascinating.  And the plot.  The twists and turns, the analogy, the suspense.  It’s all amazing.
2: Tamora Pierce
        The Circle of Magic Quartet
        The Circle Opens Quartet
        The Will of the Empress
        Melting Stones
The Song of the Lioness Quartet
        The Immortals Quartet
The Protector of the Small Quartet
        Trickster Series
        Beka Cooper Series
Bookworm loves the main characters of all of these.  In the Circle Books it’s Briar, Tris, Sandry, and Daja.  In the Tortall Books it’s Alanna, Kel, Daine, Ally, and Beka.  All of the girls are very strong willed and are really how Bookworm would like to be.  The settings are also so fun to read about.  And the magic.  Oh, yes, the magic.
3. John Flanagan

        The Ranger’s Apprentice Series
        The Brotherband Chronicles
Bookworm reads these because of the characters and the funny parts.  Not the battles.  Not the setting, though that would probably be third.  Will, Halt, Alyss, Pauline, Horace, Jenny, and the funny things that happen.  And if you ever hear Bookworm say “Always a dangerous pastime,” after you said, “I was thinking…”  you can thank John Flanagan.
4. D.J. MacHale

        The Pendragon Series
        Before the War Series
The plot is enthralling, and each and every setting is different.  All ten books take place on a different world, and Bookworm loves it.  The fact that in one of the books, the bad guy, Saint Dane, almost convinced her to be on his side, is part of why Bookworm believes these to be made of really great writing.  Or, you never know, Bookworm could just be secretly evil.
5. Patrick Rothfuss

        The King Killer Chronicles
The main character, Kvothe, is great.  Just great.  Bookworm loves his humor, how well the book is written, and, oh yeah, the magic university….  She feels that you can always tell a book is going to be good if it includes magic and a school type thing together.
6.Orson Scott Card
Ender Quintet
Shadow Series
Mither Mages
Definitely the plot is the reason why Bookworm loves these books. They can get really philosophical, but the concepts are amazing. These are some books that grab you and won’t let you go.
7. Cassandra Clare
The Mortal Instruments series
The Infernal Devices series
Bookworm loves these because of the werewolves, vampires, shadowhunters, demons, fairies, angels, worlocks, and shapeshifters. And it’s set it this world, so she can imagine they are actually in Wisconsin too. And guess what??? There is actually romance! Gasp! And Bookworm’s reading it
8. Veronica Roth
Divergent Trilogy
Bookworm says that this Trilogy is kind of like the Hunger Games, but not. The concept that their society is split into four very distinct yet very vague groups is very fascinating for Bookworm. The defining factors of the four groups are also.
9. Trudi Canavan

The Black Magician Series
The magic, and the magicians. The characters around Sonea, the main character, are all so different. And the plot is very suspenseful also.
10. Brandon Sanderson
        The Stormlight Archives
        Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians
Bookworm loves Alcatraz’s jokes.  She thinks they are hilarious!  When the last book started having the chapter numbers go 1, 2, 3, 100, 3.15, 86…, she was rolling on the floor laughing.  The Stormlight Archive is completely different, as it is very serious, but the characters have some of the most distinct personalities ever.
So sorry that this is written in third person, but I felt like it, and it was fun.  So there you go.
